Baby Please!

Schrendria Blog

“As I look back over my life and I think things over.  I can truly say that I’ve been blessed. I’ve got a testimony.”  These popular song lyrics by Rev. Clay Evans were brought to mind this week as I spent time sharing the Baby Please! movement with thousands.  I’m honored to have appeared on a local television news show called Friends at Five with my friend Darci Strickland and  on a local radio show called Friday at Five with my friend Stacey Sherrell.  Both shows gave me an opportunity to reflect on my story and realize why I must continue this journey.  Three friends from the Baby Please ! movement joined me on the radio show and I was in tears as I heard their stories again.  As one of the ladies stated there are no coincidences just divine connections.  I am so glad that you have connected with this blog.  It is my prayer that others will find hope and restoration through these stories.  “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. . . . .” Revelation 12:11

Our Story

Once Upon a Time ……… and  Happily Ever After; are phrases that generally make up a good story. If we slow down from the busyness of life we will notice that everyone has a story.  Sometimes our stories end with Happily Ever After and sometimes it’s To Be Continued.  What’s your story? Have you ever thought about how your story may help someone else?   Consider the following: 1.   Don’t be afraid to share your story.  2.  Share your story only when you feel the time is right.  3. Be prepared for ALL feedback as a result of sharing your story.  Everyone may not like your transparency or understand why you are sharing your story.   Here is a small portion of our story.  Be Blessed.

The Journey to Mother’s Day

Tomorrow many will observe Mother’s Day, which is one of the most celebrated holidays of the year.  Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mother figures!  Unfortunately, each year millions of women are unsuccessful in their attempts to become moms.  Today, I say a special prayer for the women who desire to become mothers and give you a sneak peek into our story.  I have decided to cut this video into four segments so please tune in each week to get the entire story.  I also encourage you to ask others to follow the blog.

Anyone who follows the blog before midnight will be entered into a drawing for a Coach Wristlet.  Winner will be announced on Mother’s Day.    Win It! Win It! Win It!

So check out the video.

Follow the blog.

And inbox me on Facebook if you desire to become a member of the Baby Please! Group.

Also I want to send a special thanks to Visions Made Plain Media (Daryn Murphy).  I was selected as the winner of his Facebook contest which allowed me to receive this complementary video.

Think Before You Speak

Let the count down begin!  It’s one week until Mother’s Day, which is one of the most celebrated holidays of the year. Many have made plans, bought gifts and if you wait much longer there will be slim pickings on the greeting cards aisle.  Blog posts are intended for those who follow the blog, however, this post is not for the followers of Baby Please, but I’m hoping  it will reach their friends, family, church members and co-workers.  As we prepare to celebrate Mother’s Day please think of those who desire to have children.  On Mother’s Day think of those who may have had miscarriages, failed fertility treatments or stillborn babies.  On Mother’s Day think of those who are on pins and needles waiting for the adoption to become final and praying that the birth parents don’t change their minds.  On Mother’s Day Think Before You Speak.  Please don’t walk up to women/couples and say things like “what are you waiting on,”  or “you are not getting any younger”.  You don’t know the struggles, heart ache or pain that person has endured.  Let’s stop putting so much pressure on women/couples to have babies and let’s start praying more for them.  As we prepare for Mother’s Day, Class and Family Reunions, Graduations, Father’s Day and all other festivities that will bring us together this summer, please remember to Think Before You Speak. The Struggle Is REAL!!
